You will find lots of information about my career as a playwright, director, and actor here and all of it is true.

Originally from East Texas, Matt Lyle is a Summa Cum Laude graduate and winner of the Outstanding Theatre Graduate Award from Stephen F. Austin State University School of Theatre. In 2004, he co-founded Bootstraps Comedy Theater in Dallas, Texas for which he serves at Artistic Director. In 2007, The Dallas Observer named Bootstraps as Best Small Theater Company and Matt as Best New Playwright. He worked with several theaters in the DFW area as both actor and director prior to his relocation with his wife, Kim, to Chicago.

Matt recently completed the Sketch Writing Program at Second City. His award-winning play, THE BOXER (a silent film on stage) had its New York Premiere in August, 2009 at the New York International Fringe Festival and was mentioned in "TOP OF THE AUGHTS' on TheaterJones.com
Alos in 2009, Matt participated in The Silent Theatre's 24-HOUR PLAY FESTIVAL, returned to DFW to direct THE BOXER at Collin Theatre Center and directed a staged reading of ALMOST MAINE for New Leaf Theatre in Chicago. In 2010, he'll direct HELLO HUMAN FEMALE at Gorilla Tango Theatre and a World Premiere "silent film on stage" THE BETTER DOCTOR at The Silent Theatre.
